Reception Information:
If you book for 2 adults it is assumed that you are a couple sharing a bed. If this is not the case, please indicate on the booking request. When 2 people use separate beds and additional charge of $30 is payable on arrival. Please note that Shiraz Cottage is a No Smoking indoors property. If there is evidence of smoking indoors an additional $200 cleaning fee will be charged.

Getting There:
Shiraz Cottage is in the main street of Lyndoch, just up the road from the famous Lyndoch Bakery. Coming from Gawler it is the fourth house on the right after the Lyndoch Oval. Coming from Tanunda, turn right to Gawler/Adelaide, Shiraz Cottage is Number 14 on the far corner of the second side street on the left. It has a picket fence and two pencil pines out the front.

Shiraz Cottage is a lovely little place for a winter getaway. The owner met us at the cottage and was very friendly. She showed us around the cottage and also gave us local information on vineyards to visit, new vineyards to the area, good restaurants, as well as information on the best views over the valleys. The cottage is rustic and needs some work to tidy it up, especially the tiles around the spa in the bathroom, but it's very comfortable and the fire kept us very warm during our stay. The fresh baked bread and breakfast supplies were really delicious too. I could have stayed much longer in Lyndoch than the 2 nights we did. It was very relaxing and the cottage is a great location to walk to the bakery, two pubs and apparently the only steakhouse, which is in a cellar, in the whole of the Barossa. Lyndoch is also a great location to base yourself to visit the Barossa Valley, nothing is too far away.
