Poppy's Cottage is a restored simple workman's cottage set in beautiful gardens on the outskirts of the city of Mt Gambier. Your cottage has traditional features including some antique furnishings, fresh flowers, log fire together with modern comforts like reverse cycle air-conditioning. The country style kitchen is well equipped and, for longer stays, there is a laundry. Take a wicker basket and stroll the gardens - pick some fruit or nuts in season or flowers all year around. Or take time to explore the Blue Lake City and beyond. You are within a few minutes of the City of Mt Gambier and the famous volcanic craters, limestone caves. Sinkholes, majestic pine forests and historic ports are a short drive away. It is less than an hour to the famous Coonawarra wine region. A superb place to lose yourself. Poppy?s Cottage is on Tarrant Road, Moorak, just out of Mt Gambier. From the main city centre take Bay Road up past the Blue Lake and on towards Port MacDonnell. 3.3 km from the round-a-bout turn right into Tarrant Road. Your cottage is the 4th house 700 m on your right ? drive in next to the poplar trees.
